Camino 2009
Fifteen years of treks with EXPLORE (and EXODUS), and, due to previous terrible experiences with the guides, went on this trip with low expectations.
Martin Paulus proved the perfect antidote to my skepticism. In one fell swoop, Martin redeemed my skepticism via one memorable trip; in fact, he made the trip fun. Martin regaled us with tales of the local region (he obviously loves the area!), he involved the locals in our group (including one extraordinarily memorable night in Las Médulas!), he even sang to us... and we sang back. Several members of the group had crafted a song in honor of Martin's talents as organizer, leader, person. Which all means that, thanks to Martin, we all bonded into one fine and fun group.
Thanks to Martin, I look forward to my next trek with EXPLORE. Martin exemplifies the type of employee EXPLORE should honor and cherish.
